Description and Benefits:
How do leaders select the right balance of priorities? How can a leader develop the ability to manage the full range of priorities needed to achieve results, avoid stagnation and position the organization for the future?

The full life cycle of a business has six stages, each stressing different business priorities. Individual leaders have varying levels of interest in these six priorities as circumstances and requirements change. The leadership priorities offer a framework for coaching or consulting with leaders and teams. The priorities are: Inventor, Catalyst, Developer, Performer, Protector, and Challenger. Leaders who are aware of their organization's stage of development are better equipped to select priorities that will achieve best results. Leaders who are aware of their personal preferences for leadership profiles can learn to adapt their behavior to use an appropriate balance of these leadership profiles.

Dr. Mary Burner Lippitt developed the Leadership Spectrum Life Cycle Framework to help leaders identify their organization's stage of development. She developed the Leadership Spectrum Profile® instrument to aid leaders in identifying their Current Priority Profile or current priority balance. This information allows leaders to select the optimal balance of priorities to support their organization. Where changes are needed, Dr. Lippitt's tips and questions help leaders rebalance priorities and modify behavior to ensure near and long-term success.

What you will learn:

The use of the self-scoring Leadership Spectrum Profile® instrument booklet to discover your Personal Profile
The six stages of the business life cycle and the priorities that support each stage
